Sunflower Etch is an adaptation of the Sunflower block-printed wallpaper, which was designed by Morris in 1879. Other more ornate versions of Sunflower produced in the 1880s involved printing oil-based red pigment onto crepe-embossed gold foiled and lacquered base paper. Sunflower Etch wallpaper has been inspired by the metal outline on the surface rollers used for printing.
